ॐ - The sacred word- No one knows from where this have come but it really feels the divine. In Hindu culture the OM is known as the sound of God, the sound of Universe. As the seven colours of light creates the white light of Sun what gives us life, as same seven sounds create the single word called OM.
OM is first found in Ancient scripts of Hinduism called Veda,
every mantra starts with OM, and thus it is considered of being same old as the
Vedas are. It’s called the initial word of universe. It plays an important role
in Yoga as it soothes the mind, heart and body.
It is made of three Sanskrit letters that are AA, AU and MA which
when combined collectively; make the resonance Om or Aum. It is supposed to be
the fundamental sound of the world and to hold all other sounds within. It is a
complete mantra or prayer itself. If repeated with the exact accent, it can reverberate
throughout the body. The echo penetrates to the centre of one's being, the Atma
or The Soul.
There is harmony, peace and paradise in this effortless but genuinely
philosophical sound. By vibrating the blessed syllable Om, the superlative
combination of letters, if one imagine of the Ultimate Personality of God, he
will undoubtedly reach the highest state of "stateless" infinity,
states the Bhagavad Gita.
